Tom Thomson’s Wake – An Original Folk Musical
The Cast
Shipyard Kitchen Party
Formed in 2017, while working in the Collingwood Improv Artists Comedy Troupe. Sacha Law, Jason Murphy and John Eaton united in a vision of a band with an Americana heart and East Coast soul. Shipyard Kitchen Party combines strong storytelling, vocal harmony and love of entertaining into a fresh take on the singer-songwriter genre.
They’re Gordon Lightfoot having a dram too many with Great Big Sea; Stan Rogers crossed with “Who’s Line it Anyway.” With traditional instrumentation, catchy pop hooks and sly humour, they get audiences stomping their feet, laughing and sometimes even shedding a tear.
