to benefit Egale Canada Human Rights Trust, Canada's only national charity with a mission to advance LGBTQ human rights, equality, and diversity through research, education, and community engagement.

Egale works to improve the lives of all LGBTQI2S people in Canada by informing public policy, inspiring cultural change and promoting human rights and inclusion through research, education and community engagement. Research conducted in 2012 revealed a disproportionately high representation of homeless LGBTQI2S youth in Toronto. As a result, Egale Youth OUTreach (EYO) was opened in 2014 which provides individual, couple, and group trauma-informed counselling, housing support, social and recreational activities, food programming, Nurse Practitioner consultations, job readiness support, education support, and crisis counselling for LGBTQI2S youth up to age 29. And when Egale Centre opens in 2019, it will provide transitional and emergency housing for 30 homeless and under-housed LGBTQI2S youth between ages 16 and 29.
