Event Description

Step right up, folks, to the dazzling, neon-lit marquee of Canadian music history, where Robbie Lane reigns as the original kingpin of cool! This maestro didn't just sing; he rocked the mic as the fearless leader of Robbie Lane & The Disciples, making waves across the airwaves and vinyl grooves alike. Now he brings his band to Collingwood, performing the sensational hits of the 60s, and taking listeners back to the days when music wasn't just heard; it was felt.

Picture a Toronto so alive with music that the air hummed with melodies, a place where Yorkville was the haven for cool cats and Yonge Street was the runway for rockers. This was the scene that brewed icons like Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, and the magnetic Robbie Lane. Slipping in and out of clubs, they were not just part of the scene—they were the scene, with Robbie and his bandmates doubling as The Hawks for Ronnie Hawkins and later becoming the musical backbone for the hit CTV show ‘It’s Happening.’

Fast forward to today, and Robbie hasn't missed a beat. No longer just a stage sensation, he’s the king of the airwaves, the DJ with a golden touch on Zoomer Radio. With ‘Sixties at Six,’ ‘Seventies at Seven,’ ‘Eighties at Eight,’ and the ‘Nine O’Clock Mix,’ Robbie turns every weekday night from 6 to 10 pm into a time machine, whisking listeners away on a whirlwind tour through the decades.

His show in Collingwood will feature many of your favourite hits from the 60s.
