This Fall you are invited to Toronto's historic Heliconian Hall to celebrate the life of the mysterious and magnetic spiritual leader Dr. Leonard P. Silver. The festivities promise to be an enchanting experience; a sung-through, psychedelic dissolution into the transcendental power of music. 

Dr. Silver: A Celebration of Life is our inaugural co-production with Outside the March, Canada’s leaders in immersive theatre, by created by two of the most exciting and innovative artists in Canadian musical theatre, Anika Johnson and Britta Johnson.

Due to the immersive nature of this piece, no latecomers will be permitted inside the performance space. Please give ample time for travel to avoid disappointment.

No latecomers permitted. The venue opens 1 hour before the show. Doors to seating open 30 minutes before the show.
Run time is approx. 95 minutes.

Premium Reserved Seats: $65.00 
A limited number of premium, reserved seats are available for all performances. These seats are located in the inner circle (1st row) of the seating arrangement and will have your name reserved directly on the seat. 

General Admission Seats: $50.00
These seats in the house are on a first come, first serve basis and are in the 2nd and 3rd rows of seating. 

Artsworker / Under 30 Seats: $29.00 (ENTER CODE: ARTS30)
A limited number of general admission seats at this price level are available for all performances. This code cannot be applied to Premium Reserved Seats. You will be asked for ID or Artsworker identification at the door.

What is the runtime of the show? The show is approx 95 minutes with no intermission.

Are latecomers permitted? Due to the immersive nature of this piece, no latecomers will be permitted inside the performance space. Please give ample time for travel to avoid disappointment.

Is the venue accessible? Heliconian Hall is accessible to wheelchairs and walkers, however the washroom in the building is not to proper CCD standards (ie. it is not the proper width for a standard wheelchair); we have a partner off-site that has offered access to an accessible washroom. 

Where is the accessible washroom? The accessible washroom is located at ONE Restaurant (116 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON M5R 1C2) which is a 2-5 minutes distance from the venue. It is important to note that there is no automatic button on this washroom door and assistance may be required to open this door by your guest, restaurant staff, or one of our venue staff. 

What is the recommended age for children? This show is best suited for children 12+. 

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance? If the performance isn’t sold out, there will be tickets for sale at the Box Office before the show starts. However, we highly suggest purchasing tickets beforehand to avoid disappointment.

What is the ticket refund/exchange policy? There are no refunds for tickets, exchanges can be made on a case-by-case basis by calling the Box Office.

Are there are warnings for the show? Haze and strobe lighting will be used in the performance.

The Musical Stage Company's support of Dr. Silver is part of The Crescendo Series, a three-year commitment by to produce the work of Britta Johnson and her collaborators.

Dr. Silver was originally commissioned through Outside the March's FORWARD MARCH program.

Dr. Silver has been developed in part with the Luminato Festival and through The Collaborations at Canada’s National Arts Centre.

Dr. Silver has been supported in part by the National Fund for New Musicals, a program of National Alliance for Musical Theatre and in part by the Innovation & Exploration Grant, a program of National Alliance for Musical Theatre, with funding from The Alhadeff Charitable Foundation.
