This award-winning production (Patron's Pick/Toronto Fringe, Best Theatre for Young Audiences/Broadwayworld.com) explores the time before the dinosaurs, and it comes to the Wychwood Theatre straight from its invited run at Theatre by the Bay's Barrie Theatre Festival. Curious K Explores the Paleozoic is a musical adventure for the whole family!
The friendship between best friends Olivia and Emma is on thin ice when they stumble into a forgotten museum theatre and awaken a sentient, singing robot named Curious K. Through prehistoric metaphors, internet humor, catchy songs and wild dances, Curious K helps them rediscover empathy, understanding, and friendship. The show also explores themes of learning differences, conflict resolution, natural history and the role of technology in learning.
This original Canadian TYA production comes from Kenton Blythe (book, music, lyrics) and Lise Cormier (choreography, vocal arrangements)—the creative duo who enthralled audiences on Canada’s Got Talent with their viral performance of Permian Period (featured in this show!). They are very excited to mount this production in their own neighbourhood!
Join us at the Wychwood Theatre on October 18th & 19th for an unforgettable journey through ancient history—fun for kids, teens and adults alike!
The show stars Kenton Blythe, Lise Cormier and Brianna Love.
Stage Manager: Lindsay Lowes
