Episodic, bizarre, nostalgic, and candid, Charisma Furs is a solo performance about Katie Sly’s difficult relationship with love, both of herself and others. 

Shared in a small space, and with a very limited audience per performance, this piece is intimate. Expect adult language, adult subject matter, nudity, and origami. Come early and Katie will teach you how to make something. 

When Jonathan Seinen and Katie began work on this show, they set out to share Katie’s true stories. In gathering the formative incidents of Katie’s life, they found that an honest portrayal of an existence is not one narrative, but a collection of narratives, and as the collection grows, the overarching portrait of an identity transforms. Authenticity, then, is a precarious moment. The truth of who a person is lies not in arrival at some end point, but in the constant process of transformation.
